So, this is just a wine blog?
Pretty much, though I imagine true wine connoisseurs wouldn’t consider the stuff I review “wine,” so much as “pauper swill.”
My idea in making this website was to provide people a place to find reviews of cheap wines, using accessible language and parameters. I’d like for people to be able to search up a wine they found at their local liquor or grocery stores and get a general idea as to whether or not it will suit them–without having to read through a tedious description of how you can tell where it was grown or a dissertation about my personal experiences with the brand.
I don’t think everyone should need to be a sommelier (fancy word for wine expert, for the plebeians like me who didn’t know this was even a thing until recently) just to be able to figure out if a bottle of wine is going to be tasty. I often get frustrated when trying to search for wine reviews, as I find I get a lot of subjective opinions, or I have to wade through a lot of text containing French words I don’t have the energy to look up. My tastes just aren’t going to be the same as someone online who talks about clarity and legs when reviewing their bottles, and I personally don’t care what shape the glass is that I drink my wine out of. I figured lots of other people would feel the same way.
So, if you agree with me, take a look around. There’s a search bar if you’re looking for a particular product, or check out my wine guide page up in the menu to find the perfect, cheap wine for whatever event you have planned.
